Our client, a National Courier Company, is seeking aDispatcher for their Sterling, VA location. This company provides customer service, dispatch, and operational functions on a local and national level. If you have dispatch, customer service representative, or administrative experience, or if you are looking to grow your skills with a company that offers rewarding work apply today!
Compensation: $18.00-20.00/ DOE
Location: Ashburn, VA
Schedule: Tues-Thurs, 3:00pm-11:00pm
Responsibilities:

  • Take Inbound and Outgoing phone calls
  • Assist and direct drivers in the field across multiple states
  • Provide administrative support when needed
  • Computer data entry
  • Prepare documents as required
  • Assist in billing
  • Must comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work well independently.
  • Great telephone etiquette & computer skills.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions
  • Ability to read and write simple correspondence.
  • Communicates internally with terminal and corporate office staff, and externally with shippers, contractors and customers.
  • Strong computer skills including above average Microsoft Office skills
