Job description

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH)  is hiring a Medical Assistant to join our Oncology Clinic in Bolivar, Missouri — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve.

  • Work Shift: Days
  • Hours: Mon -Fri, 8am-4:30pm

What Your Day Looks Like: The Carrie J. Babb Cancer Center provides medical oncology/hematology, as well as radiation services. Services include Chemotherapy, Hematology, Rehabilitation services, Prosthetic fittings, Social services and dietary services.

As a Medical Assistant, you will be

  • Obtaining vital signs, reviewing medical history, and reconciling medications and allergies
  • Completing required screenings and assessing the history of present illness
  • Administering medications orally, via injection, or nebulizer
  • Performing IV therapy and catheterization (nurse only)
  • Cleaning and restocking exam rooms between patients
  • Communicating test results and provider messages to patients

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma

Experience: Patient care

Skills: Multitasking and Communication, both written and verbal

Licensure/Certification: CMA, CCMA

Physical Requirements: The ability to stand for long periods of time and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
