Job description

Family Best Care is hiring reliable in-home caregivers for an ongoing client assignment in Vashon Island, WA. This opportunity is ideal for caregivers looking to supplement their existing schedule with short, consistent shifts that can easily be combined with other nearby cases.
This position requires an active Washington Home Care Aide (HCA) credential or an active Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC/CNA) credential. If you do not currently meet this requirement, Family Best Care may be unable to proceed with your application for this position.
Pay & Benefits
  • $26.50 per hour
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x
  • Holiday pay for company-recognized holidays
  • Health insurance available for caregivers who consistently work 35 or more hours per week

Schedule
  • Shift: 2- 4 hour shifts
  • Ongoing long-term assignment
  • Excellent opportunity to bundle with other Family Best Care shifts in the area
  • Additional hours may be available based on caregiver availability and client needs

What You Will Do
  • Assist with personal care, including grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance as needed
  • Provide meal preparation and hydration support
  • Offer medication reminders
  • Assist with light housekeeping and household organization
  • Support safe mobility and fall prevention
  • Provide companionship and meaningful engagement
  • Follow the care plan and accurately document services provided
  • Communicate updates and concerns to the office team promptly

Requirements
  • Active Washington HCA, CNA, or NAC credential
  • Current TB test or screening
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current Food Worker Card
  • Valid government-issued photo ID
  • Reliable transportation
  • Reliable phone access for work-related communication
  • Ability to complete onboarding requirements if selected
