We believe patients deserve more than procedures - they deserve trust, relationships, and care that elevates their lives. Our goal is for every patient to feel seen, heard, and valued, and to leave better than when they arrived.

About the Role

We are looking for a Clinical Dental Assistant with some hands-on experience to join our growing team at Virtue Dental. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys patient care, thrives in a collaborative clinical environment, and wants to continue developing their skills alongside caring dentists and a supportive team.

The right person will be dependable, kind, coachable, detail-oriented, and committed to creating excellent patient experiences. You should be comfortable assisting chairside, supporting smooth clinical flow, maintaining infection control standards, and helping patients feel calm and confident throughout their visit.

What You'll Do

As a Clinical Dental Assistant, you will:

Assist doctors chairside during exams, restorative procedures, emergency visits, crowns, fillings, extractions, implant-related care, and other general dental procedures.

Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment for each patient visit.

Take digital x-rays and intraoral images.

Support excellent infection control, sterilization, OSHA, HIPAA, and clinical safety standards.

Help patients feel welcomed, informed, comfortable, and cared for from the beginning to the end of their appointment.

Clearly communicate with doctors, hygienists, front-office team members, and patients to keep the day running smoothly.

Document clinical notes accurately and assist with charting as directed.

Break down and reset operatories efficiently while maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment.

Support lab case tracking, impressions/scans, temporary crowns, whitening, Invisalign, and other procedures depending on training and experience.

Look for ways to improve the patient experience and strengthen the team.

What We're Looking For

Some prior dental assisting experience is preferred.

Knowledge of general dental procedures, instruments, sterilization, and chairside assisting.

A patient-first mindset and a warm, professional communication style.

Reliability, punctuality, and strong attention to detail.

A team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.

Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical setting while staying calm and organized.

Commitment to confidentiality, HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards.

X-ray certification preferred, or willingness to obtain if required.

Experience with digital dentistry, Dentrix/Open Dental/Eaglesoft, Invisalign, implants, or oral surgery is a plus but not required.

You'll Be a Great Fit If You Believe

Patients should be treated the way we would want our own family members treated.

A great dental visit is built on trust, kindness, and clear communication.

Strong teams create better patient care.

Clinical excellence and human connection belong together.

Growth happens when people are empowered, trained, and supported.

Doing the right thing for the patient matters, even when it is hard.

Why Join Virtue Dental?

Work with a locally trusted dental team in a modern Big Bend practice.

Be part of a relationship-driven culture that values patients and team members.

Learn from experienced doctors and team members who are committed to excellent dentistry.
