Role: 

This position is PART TIME - Wednesday through Friday 8am-430pm


To assist in fulfilling wholesale orders, receiving purchase orders, maintaining an orderly & safe warehouse, accurate inventory counting and picking of raw materials to support the bakery operation.  


Essential Job Responsibilities: 

The following duties are general and particular to this position. Responsibilities may vary based on the needs of the business. 

  1. Load and unload trucks and or trailers utilizing a hi-lo/lift/forklift.
  2. Locate and move stock throughout the warehouse in preparation for shipments utilizing a hi-lo/lift/forklift
  3. Receive raw materials & put them away according to storage plan.
  4. Support production by delivering/removing raw materials daily. 
  5. General warehouse maintenance to support the sanitation department. Tasks include but are not limited to emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, dusting and general organization 
  6. Ensure refrigeration and freezers are kept orderly and clean. 
  7. Assist in warehouse equipment cleanliness 
  8. Adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP)
  9. Allergen awareness is critical in maintaining proper storage. 
  10. Comply with Zaro's Safety programs. 
  11. Maintain and handle large moving pieces of equipment in an efficient and safe manner. 
  12. Report quality and safety outages. Work to correct where necessary to prevent injury or loss. 
  13. Annual Forklift training may be required.



Requirements

Physical Requirements:

MUST be able to work in a cold environment!

Perform the essential job functions safely and successfully while maintaining qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards  

MUST work in varied temperature conditions: inside/outside, cold temperature zones (freezer, refrigerator, dry area)

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs consistently.

Work in an environment with Minimal Chemical Hazards, Vibration, Dust, Vehicle Noise

Able to maintain regular punctual attendance 

Able to stand for extended periods

May be required to squat, reach, bend, pull, push, or be otherwise physically engaged consistently during their shift


General Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Experience utilizing various warehouse equipment, including, but not limited to, forklift, pallet jack, and shrink wrap machinery.

Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent job duties

Follow scheduling procedures, punctual start to the shift, consistent attendance 

Ability to read English

Ability to work as part of a diverse team and/or independently.

Mechanical aptitude 

Basic math skills 

Excellent communication skills - oral and written. Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs

Able to multitask and work with a sense of urgency
