Summary:
- The Inventory Control Coordinator supports warehouse operations by managing receiving, staging, inventory control, and outbound shipping of temperature-controlled medical products.
- This role ensures accurate material handling, cold-chain integrity, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Receiving
Receive raw materials, components, and inbound products
Verify quantities, lot numbers, and required documentation
Perform system transactions for receiving and put-away
Identify discrepancies and escalate issues as needed
Outbound Shipping
Pick and stage orders using FIFO/FEFO principles
Pack domestic and international shipments
Prepare cold-chain shipments using insulated packaging, dry ice, and gel packs
Generate shipping documentation and coordinate carrier pickups
Inventory Control
Assist with cycle counts and inventory location audits
Support inventory reconciliation and system updates
Remove expired or damaged materials from storage locations
Maintain lot control and product traceability per standard procedures
Cold-Chain & Regulated Material Handling
Work in cold rooms (2–8°C) and freezers (-20°C)
Handle temperature-sensitive and time-critical products
Safely handle dry ice and cold-chain packaging materials
Handle regulated and hazardous materials according to established procedures
Equipment Operation
Operate warehouse equipment as required, including forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and cold-room handling tools
Required Skills
Warehouse or material handling experience
Ability to work in cold storage environments
Basic computer and system navigation skills
Ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs and written instructions
Attention to detail and accuracy
Desired Skills
Forklift and powered industrial equipment experience
Cold-chain logistics experience
Basic knowledge of hazardous or regulated material handling
Experience with medical products or regulated product distribution
