Job description

QuarterLine (QL), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Audiology Technician to join the Occupational Medical Services healthcare team at Tinker Air Force Base, OK. The selected candidate will perform audiology support duties in a DoD clinical environment, including hearing screenings, audiometric testing support, patient history intake, equipment preparation, and accurate documentation in accordance with contract requirements, facility protocols, and applicable regulatory standards.

This role requires a dependable healthcare professional who can meet government qualifications, credentialing, security, and onboarding requirements while working effectively under a personal services arrangement. The ideal candidate will bring recent audiology technician or related health sciences experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting mission readiness and high-quality care for service members and eligible patient populations.

  • Duty Location: Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. No Telework allowed.
  • Duty Hours: Monday - Friday, 0700 - 1600. 
    • No Overage, No OT.
    • Not required to work Holidays.

  • Assist audiologists in conducting hearing tests and evaluations for patients of all ages.
  • Prepare and maintain audiometric equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality before use.
  • Conduct basic hearing screenings and assist with diagnostic audiometric testing under supervision.
  • Perform patient interviews to collect relevant medical and hearing history information.
  • Provide patient education regarding hearing care, hearing aid maintenance, and auditory health.
  • Document test results accurately in both written and electronic medical records according to established protocols.
  • Assist in fitting, adjusting, and maintaining hearing aids and other assistive listening devices.
  • Recognize urgent audiological conditions and refer patients promptly to the audiologist or healthcare provider.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of audiology instruments and supplies.
  • Participate in clinic orientation and training programs as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support comprehensive patient care.
  • Adhere to infection control policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with patients, families, and healthcare staff.

  • Degree/Education: Graduate from an accredited college or vocational program in audiology technology or related health sciences approved by the appropriate State agency.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of audiology technician experience in a primary care setting within the past five (5) years.
  • Legal Authorization to Work in the United States: The contract worker performing under this contract must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Licensure: Current certification or licensure as required by state regulations or professional accrediting bodies for audiology technicians.
  • Certification(s):
    • CAOHC (Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation) certification required.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Certification cards must display the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Web-based (on-line) classes are not acceptable by the Government.

  • Previous experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) or Military Treatment Facility (MTF) environment.
  • Experience in occupational medicine, primary care, or ambulatory care settings.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and military healthcare operations.

  • Occupational Health: The contract worker shall be required to obtain documentation of required physical testing or a report of a physical examination.
  • Tuberculosis Screening: The Contractor ensure contract workers shall be screened for tuberculosis (TB).
  • Health Requirements. The Contractor shall provide documentation certifying health requirements such as immunizations, annual vaccinations, and physical examination when required at the time of initial placement.
  • Subject to a background and security investigation to include drug screening.
  • Employees shall maintain good personal hygiene and present a well-groomed and professional appearance IAW the policy at the place of performance.
