Job description

Job Summary:

The Water Treatment & Install Technician is responsible for the installation of residential and light commercial water treatment and filtration systems while ensuring all equipment is operating properly and customer expectations are exceeded. Maintains accurate documentation, promotes additional service opportunities, and upholds company safety and quality standards.
 

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Install water treatment and filtration systems according to company standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Confirm all installed equipment is functioning properly and operating efficiently.
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, parts, and safety equipment in good working condition.
  • Generate customer invoices, complete required job documentation, and electronically process credit card transactions at job sites.
  • Communicate regularly with the Assistant Service Manager regarding job status, materials, scheduling, and customer concerns.
  • Identify and proactively respond to potential opportunities for additional business, including products or services that may benefit the customer.
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship while maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service.
  • Maintain all safety, quality, productivity, and code compliance standards.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Mininum of 2 years of experience in the field.
  • Valid FL driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Working knowledge of water treatment and filtration equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to efficiently multi-task.
  • Ability to comfortably offer and explain additional service opportunities to customers.
  • Coachable attitude with motivation to take on additional responsibilities and continued learning.
 

Physical Requirements:

During a 8-10 hour workday, must be able to:

  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Stand, bend, kneel, squat, crawl, and reach for extended periods of time.
  • Use upper extremities for grasping, pushing/pulling, and find hand manipulations.
  • Safely navigate uneven surfaces.
  • Work outdoors in extreme conditions (heat, cold, etc.) and in tight or confined spaces when required.
     

Work Environment:

  • Field-based position with regular travel to customer locations.
  • Occasional after-hours or weekend work as needed for emergency services or testing schedules.
