About This Role

As a Quality Inspector, you play a key role in ensuring our weaponsystem hardware meets all engineering, quality, and customer expectations while supporting efficient, uninterrupted production. You will use your attention to detail, precision measurement skills, and IPC workmanship knowledge to validate the quality of complex electromechanical assemblies.

Key Responsibilities

         Perform manual, visual, and dimensional inspections across a wide range of hardware including electromechanical assemblies, cable harnesses, precisionmachined components, and mechanical parts.

         Inspect to detailed engineering requirements and precise tolerances, applying measurement best practices and logging critical data points for measurements and traceability.

         Utilize CMM equipment (preferred) for dimensional verification of critical features and automated measurement workflows.

         Apply IPC610, IPC620, and JSTD001 with Space Addendum standards to evaluate soldering, electronic assemblies, and cable harness workmanship.

         Support material flow by assisting in the handling of nonconforming material, generating and verifying labels, and maintaining traceability.

         Act as a liaison between Quality, Engineering, Operations, and other functions to resolve issues and maintain efficient throughput.

         Assist Quality Engineers with tasks that improve quality and processes that support both prototype and lowrate production programs. 

         Contribute to daily operational quality tasks that support the overall success of the team.

Qualifications

Required

         High school diploma or GED.

         2-5 years of experience in a similar role

         Ability to read, write, and follow work instructions accurately; prioritize tasks; collaborate effectively; identify issues proactively; and maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks.

         Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

         General math skills including basic algebra and geometry; ability to apply formulas and calculate tolerances used in dimensional inspection.

         Basic mechanical aptitude, including comfort with geometric concepts and dimensional relationships.

         Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T; entry-level familiarity is sufficient.

         IPC610, IPC620, JSTD001, and Space Addendum certifications, or the ability to obtain them, ensuring capability to evaluate soldering, cable harnesses, and electronic assembly workmanship. 

         Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred

         CMM experience (inspection or exposure to coordinate measuring machines).

o    Previous experience with CMM programming or automated dimensional inspection workflows.

         Former machining experience or familiarity with machining processes, machine shop environments, or machined part features.
