Job description

Business Technology Integrators (BTI) is seeking a driven and growthโ€‘oriented Government Contracting (GovCon) Sales Lead to support business development efforts across federal agencies.
This role is ideal for an earlyโ€‘career professional who is eager to learn the federal sales cycle, build relationships with government buyers and teaming partners, and help expand our footprint in the public sector. You will work closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities, qualify leads, and support proposal and capture activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and qualify federal contracting opportunities through SAM.gov, agency forecasts, industry events, and partner networks.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of prospects across targeted agencies and contract vehicles.
  • Conduct outreach to federal program offices, contracting officers, and prime contractors to introduce company capabilities and explore teaming opportunities.
  • Support capture and proposal development, including gathering requirements, coordinating with internal teams, and contributing to proposal content.
  • Maintain CRM records, track opportunity status, and prepare regular pipeline and activity reports.
  • Assist in developing sales strategies for targeted agencies and contract vehicles.
  • Represent the company at industry days, conferences, and networking events to build brand presence and relationships.
  • Collaborate with Business Development to refine capability statements, presentations, and outreach materials.
  • Monitor federal procurement trends and provide insights to leadership on competitive positioning.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • 0โ€“5 years of experience in sales, business development, government contracting, or a related field (internships and partโ€‘time experience welcome).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationshipโ€‘building skills.
  • Ability to learn the federal acquisition process (FAR, contract vehicles, procurement cycles).
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and followโ€‘through.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with or selling to federal agencies.
  • Familiarity with SAM.gov, GovWin, or similar marketโ€‘research tools.
  • Understanding of common federal contract vehicles (GSA MAS, IDIQs, BPAs).
  • Prior experience supporting proposals or capture activities.

Compensation
  • Base Salary: Up to $70,000, depending on experience.
