Summary of Job Duties:
**This is a part-time position**
The Center for Research, Health and Society seeks to hire a part-time Research Assistant (RA) to support the research team in the translation and dissemination of study products. The RA will work with team members to implement the translation and dissemination plan, develop products such as website content, videos, reports, briefs, infographics, and newsletters to promote study findings, study products, and other information for researcher, practitioner, and community audiences. The RA will communicate information to appropriate audiences. The RA will help write papers and develop conference presentations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in behavioral health, psychology, sociology, public health, or related health field, plus one (1) year of experience supporting research, evaluation, or evidence-based projects, including data collection, analysis, reporting, dissemination, or development of research-related materials required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong oral and written communication.
  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Experience in writing abstracts and papers, and conducting conference presentations.
  • Experience using AI tools.
  • Follows instructions.
  • Skills in developing electronic dissemination tools (e.g., newsletters) are preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Works with team to follow and implement the translation and dissemination strategic plan in a timely manner. Tracks progress on milestones.
  • Proactively identifies potential barriers to completion of project goals and milestones and communicates with supervisor and relevant partners to address challenges.
  • Develops content for products using evidence-based practices.
  • Prepares the first draft of required documents in advance of deadlines, submits products for review, revises documents, and finalizes products with staff.
  • Sends out regular communications related to product dissemination, including newsletters and briefs, to various audiences.
  • Uses evidence-based practices to reach broad and defined audiences.
  • Works with contractors to develop and maintain project websites with updates on project activities.
  • Works with research teams to revise study protocols and training materials for public use.
  • Works with teams to analyze data, compile reports, presentations, and manuscripts.
  • Assists with Center-wide qualitative and quantitative data collection.
  • Ensures that research activities are conducted with rigor and according to protocol.
  • Assists with development of a protocol on rigor in community-engaged research.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
