Job description

Catalyx is seeking an Automation & IT Integration Engineer with a strong background in process control systems and industrial automation. This role serves as a key interface between Automation/OT and on-site IT teams, focusing on troubleshooting equipment connectivity, supporting system integration, and ensuring reliable data flow across platforms. The ideal candidate can effectively communicate automation concepts to IT personnel who may not have prior experience with industrial control systems.

Responsibilities Serve as the primary liaison between Automation/OT and IT teams. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to equipment connectivity, communication, and data flow. Support integration between industrial control systems and IT infrastructure.

Assist IT teams in understanding automation systems, architectures, and dependencies. Configure, maintain, and support automation platforms and data systems. Ensure accurate and reliable data collection through historian and integration platforms.

Participate in GxP/validation activities where applicable. Document system configurations, architectures, and troubleshooting procedures. Support continuous improvement efforts related to system performance and reliability.

Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or process control environments. Strong experience with AVEVA PI System (PI Historian).

Experience working in GxP or validated environments. Experience with Ignition SCADA platforms. Experience with Rockwell Automation systems (Allen-Bradley PLCs, FactoryTalk).
