Job description

Forno Osteria & Bar: A Taste of Italy nestled in downtown Montgomery. Forno Osteria & Bar offers a classic, rustic Italian dining experience complete with wood-fired Neapolitan Style Pizza and Housemad Pasta, that delights the senses and transports you to Italy. Chef Cristian Pietoso's passion for Italian cuisine is evident in every dish. We are currently looking for a host/hostess to help facilitate an unforgettable experience for our guests.

A host's job includes answering phones, making reservations, greeting guests, managing wait times, and seating guests:

  • Greeting guests
    • Hosts are the first and last impression of a business, so they should be friendly and welcoming.
  • Managing wait times
    • Hosts manage lines at the door and ensure that guests are seated in a timely manner.
  • Managing the seating chart
    • Hosts allocate guests to tables and ensure that the seating chart is organized so that the headcounts are fairly distributed.
  • Other responsibilities
    • Assist with clearing and resetting tables
    • Assist with drink refills
    • Cleaning and restocking restrooms with supplies
    • Cleaning front area to make it presentable for guest arrival
