You will support business unit objectives, communicate with stakeholders, and contribute to sales & operations planning for the production area.

Responsibilities
  • Directly supervise hourly production employees and those in supervisory or manufacturing support roles.
  • Plan, monitor, execute, and communicate daily, monthly, and annual production goals.
  • Assist in the sales and operations planning to meet financial targets and customer‑service objectives for a rolling 12‑month horizon.
  • Coordinate activities with internal departments that impact production (scheduling, engineering, shipping, inventory control, sales, purchasing, etc.).
  • Monitor daily variance to plan and implement capacity adjustments—including overtime, flex labor, and capital investment—to execute the S&O plan.
  • Lead value streams and production areas, identifying and executing continuous‑improvement projects that meet productivity goals and maximize efficiency.
  • Work with Material Specialists to define procedures that ensure proper inventory management.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and optimal performance of production machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain work areas to meet or exceed company 5S and safety standards.
  • Participate in root‑cause analysis of safety incidents to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead continuous‑improvement activities that enhance key performance indicators, safety culture, and team‑member relations.
  • Participate in and lead activities related to the 5S and Safety teams when necessary.
  • Improve productivity and efficiencies through effective team‑member engagement, labor planning, lean manufacturing principles, and materials planning.
  • Develop cross‑training plans and encourage continued development of team members.
  • Meet or exceed customer‑service expectations, including quality and on‑time shipping.
  • Maintain knowledge of current labor agreements, regional labor policies, and applicable regulations.
  • Participate in labor‑agreement negotiations, where applicable.
  • Provide input to manufacturing‑engineering functions to improve productivity through plant layout, process flow, routings/labor standards, work methods, capital equipment, and quality levels.
  • Provide guidance and support for corporate maintenance initiatives.
  • Represent manufacturing to outside visitors, such as company tours, applicants in the interview process, and vendors/suppliers as needed.
Qualifications
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 6-8 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • 4‑year bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations management, engineering, business administration, management, or a related field—or equivalent years of job experience.
  • Training in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
Compensation & Benefits

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,000 to $144,837, with variable compensation based on performance metrics. Benefits include health, family support, financial security, learning and development, rewards and recognition, wellbeing & mental health, work‑life balance, and more.

Physical Requirements
  • Work performed in an office environment and requires using standard office equipment (computer, phone).
  • Sedentary work with occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.
  • Repetitive motion and substantial wrist, hand, and finger movements.
  • Close visual acuity for data preparation, analysis, transcribing, and computer terminal viewing.
  • Occasional mobility required for in‑person meetings and office tasks.
  • Work may be performed on site, at home, or in a hybrid setting.
