Job description

Position Overview:
B amp;T USA is seeking a Material Handler/Shop Helper who support machinists and production staff. This role involves assisting with machine setup, material handling, basic maintenance, and ensuring a clean and safe workspace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist machinists with setup and operation of equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and drills.
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
  • Measure and inspect parts using basic tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Maintain cleanliness of the shop, including sweeping, organizing tools, and disposing of scrap materials.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, etc.).
  • Follow work orders, blueprints, and supervisor instructions.
  • Support inventory management by tracking materials and supplies.
  • Adhere to schedules and production goals.
  • Check and remove metal chips from collection systems on CNC machines and place into recycle containers.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Required Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Previous machine shop or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machining skills.
  • Familiarity with power tools.
  • Previous forklift experience a plus.
  • Ability to read basic measurements and follow instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability.

  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the workday
