Job description

Dematic is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator to support our warehouse operations. This role is responsible for operating various types of powered industrial trucks, including reach trucks, cherry pickers, and sit-down forklifts, to pick, move, locate, stack, and count product. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. This role will be working Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Occasional overtime may be required.

Tasks and Qualifications:
What You Will Do In This Role
  • Safely operate reach trucks, cherry pickers, and sit-down forklifts to move/pick product throughout the warehouse.
  • Load and unload materials from trailers and storage areas.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
  • Pick, stage, and transport materials according to work orders and inventory systems.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle audits.
  • Accurately complete required paperwork and system entries for material movement.
  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and adherence to OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Ensure proper labeling of packages, including barcodes, shipping labels, and handling instructions.
  • Prepare and verify shipping manifests and documentation for outbound shipments.
