Job description

We are excited that you are considering joining Bulls Rush FC as a Head Coach or Assistant Coach.
Bulls Rush FC is the official competitive youth soccer program in Columbia County. The club is a non-profit organization that offers youth soccer programs to children ages 4 - 19 years. Since its inception in 2008, the club has grown into one of the cityโ€™s largest sports programs. The club provides a variety of opportunities for players transitioning from recreational programs into a professionally run soccer training academy to development opportunities for the most talented players at all distinct levels of competition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate Head Coach shall have the responsibility for planning, supervision, and coordination with the Clubโ€™s Director and/or Divisional Directors of all aspects of the Program, including but not limited to:
  • Follow the curriculum and direction set forth by the club with the main focus on individual player development in a positive environment
  • Coach, technically, physically, tactically, and managing the playersโ€™ behavior on and off the playing field
  • Overseeing and evaluating the physical condition of the players in conjunction with the medical staff
  • Assisting the Club in identifying, recommending, and preparing players participating in advanced programs or with other age groups.
  • For head coaches: the assignment of duties, supervision, and coordination of the performance of assistant coaches assigned to the program;
  • For head coaches: a written evaluation/assessment of each playerโ€™s development (evaluation form will be provided)
  • Representing the Club in all manners, including the participation in Club or Club affiliate events such as tryouts or fundraising events
  • Assisting the Club in the planning, supervision, and coordination of recruitment of players for the program
  • Coaches are required to participate in educational programs such as coachโ€™s clinics and coachโ€™s meetings
  • Must have great communication skills and be responsible and abide fully by the Club's operating bylaws and administrative bylaws for compliance, which will be part of a coach performance evaluation.
Qualifications:
  • Previous coaching experience
  • Coaching license is required, but you have a one year grace period
  • Appropriate Coaching Education is provided
  • Passionate about kids and youth sports
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be fun, energetic, and enthusiastic
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be available to work on weekday evenings and weekends
  • Be confident and capable of dealing with parents and upholding the Bulls Rush FC philosophy
Position:

This is a part-time contractor position, working in the fall and spring seasons, August through May with optional summer opportunities. Competitive pay is determined by licenses and experience. Candidates must pass a comprehensive background check.
