Job Description
The Assistant Guide plays a crucial role in the success of the classroom. Some duties include setting up the environment for the day's work, maintaining the environment clean, ensuring safety of children, facilitating children's work, assisting with lessons when requested by the Lead Guide, and preparing the environment for the next day.
It will be a great start for fresh candidates passing out of a Montessori Diploma course to start as an Assistant Guide with a clear path to convert to be a lead guide.
Basic Qualifications:
● Must have High School credentials and above
● Must have at least 1 year of experience working with children in one of the below age ranges.
○ Infant - 3 months and 15 months [or]
○ Toddler - 15 months and 2.5 years [or]
○ Children’s House - 2.5 years and 6 years
● Must pass a criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications:
● Should excel in communication and coordinating with the Lead Guide
● Should have knowledge on Montessori materials and material making, as required by the Lead Guide
● Should be able to handle lunch, play and nap hour preparation activities
