Registered Nurse (RN) - Medication Pass - Travel Contract
Start Date: 9/14/26
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Pay Range: $1,763.39 - $2,074.58 Per Week
Schedule: 3x12H, Days
Job Description
As a Medication Pass RN, you will be primarily responsible for the safe and timely administration of medications to residents, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and adherence to facility protocols. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary care team to monitor resident response to medications and support overall patient safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
  • Administer medications accurately and on schedule per physician orders and facility policy.
  • Verify the "rights" of medication administration (right patient, drug, dose, route, time).
  • Document all medication administration, refusals, and adverse reactions in the EMR.
  • Monitor residents for side effects, allergic reactions, or adverse drug interactions and report findings promptly.
  • Communicate with physicians, pharmacists, and nursing staff regarding medication orders, changes, and clarifications.
  • Maintain accurate medication records, including narcotic counts and controlled substance logs.
  • Educate residents and families on medications as appropriate.
  • Assist with care planning and collaborate with CNAs and other nursing staff to ensure resident safety.
  • Respond to resident needs and changes in condition, escalating to the appropriate provider as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with all facility, state, and federal healthcare regulations.
Requirements
  • Active, unencumbered RN license in MT.
  • 1-2+ years of RN experience, ideally in [LTC / SNF / critical access / similar setting].
  • Current BLS certification (ACLS if required by facility).
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology and medication safety practices.
  • Prior travel assignment experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and patient safety.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and assist with resident care tasks throughout the shift.
