Boys' High School Assistant Golf Coach
Season begin date: August 2026
Season end date: November 2026
Salary: $2,845 - $3,300 (Based on verifiable previous paid coaching experience)
Location: Kalama High School
Benefits: This position is not eligible for health or retirement benefits
Reports to: Athletic Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Provides instruction to students in the rules, regulations, equipment and techniques of the sport
  • Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises
  • Assesses students' skills, monitors students during competition and practice
  • Provides determining game strategy
  • Follows established procedures in the event of an injury
  • Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards students, officials and spectators
  • Supervises and maintains the equipment room in orderly condition and assumes responsibility for its security
  • Distributes and collects equipment, supplies and uniforms to students as directed by the head coach
  • Maintains a safe environment and facilities for student athletes at all times
  • Participates in special activities to include parent's night, banquets,, award nights, and pep assemblies
  • Performs support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and other related records
  • Models non discriminatory practices in all activities
  • Previous Coaching experience preferred
  • Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to communicate with high school students, parents, coaches and staff
  • Must complete SafeSchools and WIAA required training prior to the beginning of the sport's season

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Per WIAA - minimum age for head coach is 21 years of age, assistant coach is 19 years of age
  • Previous Coaching experience preferred
  • Reasoning ability
