Job description

TPC Las Vegas is a par-71, 7,104-yard golf course open to the public located in Las Vegas, NV. This is a premier PGA TOUR property in Las Vegas, making it a destination for celebrities and PGA TOUR players alike. The golf course has been heralded by Golf Digest as one of the "Best Places to Play". The Bobby Weed and Raymond Floyd design is a golf course that will test your skills while dazzling you with views of the surrounding mountains, canyons, and the famed Las Vegas skyline.

The Equipment Operator III has been specifically trained to operate specialized equipment and/or to perform specific tasks relative to the maintenance of the golf course grounds.
Pay Range; $16.50- $19.50 DOE
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must have 6 months experience as an Equipment Operator II,
  • or at least two years of experience in golf course operations or similar position.
  • Education in turfgrass management, or related field, may be substituted for all or part of the work experience requirement

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  • Perform all duties and/or tasks relative to the Equipment Operator I, and II positions
  • Maintain logs for the operation, maintenance, and gas usage of each machine
  • Perform daily tasks necessary to keep the maintenance facility clean, organized, and safe
  • Clean machinery after each use
  • Inspect all machines and report any deficiencies to the Equipment Technician
  • Perform other functions and routine golf course maintenance activities as directed by the Director of Golf Course Maintenance Operations, Assistant Golf Course Superintendent I or Assistant Golf Course Superintendent II
  • Be thoroughly trained for the procedures at each task prior to performing task
  • Follow the guidelines outlined in the Golf Course Management System (GCMS) Manual for each specific task
  • Perform specific tasks relative to Operator I, II and III training including:
  • Tractor operations; gang mow, aerify, vertical mow, vacuum, sweep, blade, loader/hoe, blower, rake, and spike
  • Course service and set up
  • Trenching
  • Operate a self-contained mower
  • Operate an out-front rotary mower and accessories
  • Operate a chain saw
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a variety of outdoor weather conditions. Position is very active and requires lifting, pulling or pushing up to or over 50 pounds, moving and/or lift items with awkward weights. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
An essential function of the job is to be able to comply with all applicable federal, state and local safety and health regulations that would apply to this job.
