Position Summary:

The Barista at Green Bay Country Club is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee beverages, smoothies, ice cream, and gelato while delivering exceptional service to members and guests. This role plays a key part in creating a welcoming and enjoyable club experience by providing friendly, personalized service, maintaining consistent product quality, and ensuring a clean, organized, and inviting café environment. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, service-oriented, and enjoys building positive relationships with members and guests.

Reports to: Sports Center Manager

Supervises: None

Employment Status: Part-Time and Full-Time


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve specialty coffee drinks, espresso beverages, smoothies, ice cream, and gelato according to established recipes and standards.
  • Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner and provide excellent customer service.
  • Take and fulfill beverage and dessert orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee, smoothie, and ice cream/gelato service areas, including equipment and workspaces.
  • Operate coffee machines, blenders, freezers, and other beverage or dessert equipment safely and properly.
  • Restock supplies and notify management of inventory needs.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines.
  • Handle payments accurately if applicable.
  • Assist other food and beverage team members as needed.


Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Previous barista, coffee shop, or beverage service experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
  • Basic knowledge of coffee beverages, smoothie preparation, and frozen dessert service preferred.
  • Friendly, outgoing, and service oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and consistency in drink preparation.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
