- This position is part time, night shift and must work weekends 


Job Summary:

A gas station attendant is the first impression of the store. They should be knowledgeable about company's products and services, and customer-related policies. Must be able to remain friendly and professional while interaction with customers and team members alike. The gas station attendant is responsible for cashiering, upholding a high level of customer service that show the culture of the company, and maintaining the store to ensure a neat and tidy appearance. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Greets and interacts with customers as they enter the location. Such as, entering the store, approaching service counter, or a fuel pump. 
  • Observe flow of automobiles being filled with gasoline.
  • Assists customers with purchase inquires and decisions, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer's needs or wants. This includes being sure to mention any of the regular deals or daily specials.
  • Accepts money in the form of cash and credit or debit cards for items to be purchased
  • Ensures accurate transactions by balancing cash register at the beginning and end of shift, and sales at the end of shift.
  • Assists customers in locating various products, resolving complaints, or providing information.
  • Bag, box, and/or wrap purchased items.
  • Helps to maintain inventory placement throughout the store as needed. This will include stocking or restocking workstations and sales floor.
  • Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture and values of our Company.
  • Promote great team work and readiness to assist with team needs throughout shift.
  • Verify customers purchasing lottery tickets, alcohol, and tobacco are of legal age.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Must keep a clean and polished appearance, wearing the designated uniform and name tag.
  • Sweep, mop, dust, remove trash inside and outside, clean and disinfect restrooms.
  • Maintain sanitation of dispensers, islands, and other station equipment.
  • Ensure the quality and quantity of food items packed or served.
  • Transfer supplies between storage areas and convenient store as needed.
  • May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent customer service skills.  
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, or scanners.
  • Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change. 
  • Willingness to complete all convenient store tasks.
  • The ability to interact productively with co-workers and function well in a team environment.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Successful completion of on-the-job training.
  • Currently have or be able to obtain a Wisconsin bartenders license

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing and working on cash register or related equipment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. 
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
