Job description

Position Summary ​

The Supervisor, Warehouse 1 will be responsible for helping the distribution center achieve the performance goals for productivity, cost, quality, and safety. Will lead the team to operate efficiently and will facility the daily work of the department.


Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Manages the performance reporting of the distribution center department including establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPI’s)
  • Works with department managers to establish the daily and weekly goals and objectives and ensures proper execution of tasks. 
  • Manage the day to day activity within department, including planning, flow, and resource prioritization
  • Create alignment on assigned process improvement across all shifts and departments related to safety, quality, and delivery goals
  • Establish business relationships with key partners, i.e. peers, leadership, Human Resources, Asset Protection, Inventory Control, and Transportation
  • Ensure operations are conducted in compliance with OSHA standards
  • Ensure proper training, development and motivation of team members to maximize current and future production performance while following standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
  • Assist team members with making improvements to their performance through coaching and mentoring
  • Recommend and implement improvements to the functional area through use of Continuous Improvement tools
  • Create a culture of safety and teamwork in the department
  • Meet company standards for productivity
  • Maintain a clean work area free from debris on the warehouse floor

Qualifications

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.  3 plus years of experience in a warehouse supervisor or distribution center role. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.


Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as Office 365 and Word. Must have working knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS).  Knowledge of AX system is a plus. 


Certificates and Licenses: No certifications needed


Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will directly manage a team within the Distribution Center.  Develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders. Provide strategic advice so direct reports will have accurate view of the market and the company’s future. Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate. Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times. Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners, and authorities.  Able to delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of direct reports providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.


Position Hiring Range

The hiring pay range provides a good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage that Living Spaces expects to pay for the position upon hire.  Pay will be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to: applicant's education, relevant work experience, knowledge, applicable and relevant skills and abilities, market demand, Company budget, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.  Living Spaces reserves the right to modify this page at any time. 


Compensation: $62,175.00 - $82,900.00


Overtime pay is available for eligible, non-exempt Team Members.  Reimbursement for expenses as required by applicable law and Company policy. Retail, Guest Services and Distribution Center Team Members are eligible to receive team bonus based on meeting specific goals and KPI's.
