    Job Description

    SAF Sr. Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Serve as a customer technical contact.
    • Interpret standards and apply the requirements to products under investigation.
    • Create and implement test procedures.
    • Conduct tests in accordance with standards and procedures, record results.
    • Ensure that test equipment is calibrated or tested and operates properly.
    • Interface with and update the Lab Manager(s), Team Leader(s) and Project Coordinator(s).
    • Assist as necessary with training of junior technicians and engineers.
    • Review files and reports prepared by project engineers.
    • Monitors multiple projects underway.
    • Prepare certification reports and related documents.
    • Assists department management with quoting.
    • Keeps current with industry technical developments and disseminates to the team, as necessary.
    • Assist with conducting and monitoring training of testing personnel as necessary particularly in relevant field of expertise.
    • Perform technical review of relevant reports and project files prepared by other engineers.
    • Support management with Sales and Marketing activities.

    Qualifications

    Basic Minimum Educational Requirements:

    • Four-year college Engineering degree, or other technical degree with relevant work experience

    • Minimum of 10 years of direct work experience in product safety engineering and hazardous location equipment.
