Assistant Station Leader (Player-Coach) -
Pay: $60,000 - $65,000 per year
SkyHop Global is a premier ground transportation company trusted by major airlines nationwide. We safely transport airline pilots and flight attendants between airports, hotels, training centers, and other airline facilities 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
As we launch our newest operation serving Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW), we are seeking a hands-on Assistant Station Leader to help build, lead, and support a high-performing team from day one.
This is a true Player-Coach position. You will spend approximately 50% of your time in the field driving routes, supporting drivers, training team members, and ensuring operational excellence, while also assisting with leadership responsibilities and daily station operations.
What You'll Do
  • Assist with the daily management of station operations in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment
  • Safely transport airline crew members between airports, hotels, and training facilities
  • Spend approximately 70% of your time in the field supporting operations and leading by example
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and coaching drivers
  • Monitor service levels, schedules, attendance, and operational performance
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, company policies, and client requirements
  • Support dispatch and leadership teams to maintain exceptional service
  • Handle operational issues and resolve concerns in real time
  • Foster a culture focused on Safety, Teamwork, Integrity, Growth, and Customer Service
  • Serve as the Station Leader's primary operational partner and backup when needed

Requirements

Driver Qualifications (Required)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • No major moving violations within the past 3 years
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Non-CDL DOT Medical Card
  • Ability to lift and assist with luggage weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude

  • No personal mobile device usage while operating company vehicles
