Job description

We are seeking skilled Fire Alarm Service Technicians and Inspectors to join our team. In this role you will need to be familiar with inspecting, testing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing Fire Alarm systems. 


· Inspectors shall perform all inspections, testing and some repair tasks on fire alarm systems. 

· Service technicians shall respond to scheduled and emergency service requests and perform in-depth trouble shooting, repair and/or replacement of system equipment. 

· Service Technicians will have the ability to program fire alarm systems or have experience with programing low voltage systems including fire alarm, nurse call, access control, security, or CCTV. 

· Frequently resolve problems through research of multiple alternatives. 

· Communicate and effectively interact with other contractors and building owners. 

· Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals. 

· Assist customers on site with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner. 

· Effectively communicate project status to management. 

· Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required. 

· Industry related FAL (Texas Fire Alarm License) is required. 

· Experience with the following manufacturers: Edwards/EST, Kidde, Notifier, FireLite, Bosch, Silent Knight, DSC, Telguard, and Gamewell/FCI is preferred. 

· Active Texas Fire Alarm Technician (FAL) Certification is required. 


· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. 

· Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record. 

· Must be proficient in the use and application of industry related equipment including MS Office. 

· Must have excellent communications skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers. 

· Regular, reliable, predictable attendance. 

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Fire Alarm/Low Voltage industry. 

Physical Requirements

· Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing a ladder, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. 

· Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools as required and lifting to 75lbs.
