Position Purpose
The Financial Reporting Systems Analyst acts on own initiative or in coordination with the Financial Systems Director to support all financial systems and automation initiatives that drive efficiency and accuracy across the accounting and finance teams. This role serves as the business system owner, partnering with Information Solutions in supporting the financial close process, planning activities, depletion and business reporting, and understanding data flow and integrity. The Financial Reporting Systems Analyst exercises strong analytical and technical skills, serving as an available resource to the Finance team and contributing to the successful completion of overall Finance related goals and objectives.
Essential Duties
  • Support operations of financial and reporting systems, providing necessary support to the Accounting and Finance teams in troubleshooting, administration, and training
  • Ensure ongoing integrity of Financial and Business reporting data, including actively monitoring systems and applications for unexpected variances, resolving integration issues, and investigating issues with third-party data providers or vendors as necessary
  • Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system recommendations
  • Document existing business processes while working with users to identify areas for improvement; create functional and technical requirements for changes and provide relevant training
  • Manage administrative functions within assigned financial systems such as managing data security profiles, configurations, and any manual master data setups
  • Prepare functional specifications to support the technical resources in configuring changes to source systems
  • Assist Financial Systems Director in project management and assumes role as project leader as needed
  • Manage data integration projects with third-party data providers when onboarding new distributor or brand relationships, ensuring timely data integration and accurate reflection of historical information in business reporting tools
  • Understand system interdependencies and collaborate with cross-functional teams accordingly in ongoing data management and for plan, forecast, or other data extracts between supported systems

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business-related or technology field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, or direct system support of these functions
  • Experience in a consumer-packaged goods environment is preferred
  • Experience with data visualization applications and SAP BPC and/or SAC preferred
  • Experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA a plus
  • Experience leading or participation in at least one full-cycle system implementation project preferred

  • Strong problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements
  • Excellent project management and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrates analytical skills and comfort with finance and accounting principles
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively communicate status, issues, and risks with the team
  • Ability to analyze and manipulate data using intermediate Excel functions

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
