Job description

Vice President, Corporate Accounting

Make an Impact: Lead the Corporate Accounting team to deliver accurate and timely quarterly, annual, and monthly financial reporting to Apollo Global Management, Inc. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and other applicable standards while driving continuous process improvement through technology.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
  • Ensure accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related schedules.
  • Coordinate with fund accounting and property accounting teams on monthly reporting.
  • Review, approve, and provide workโ€‘paper support for financial reports.
  • Approve payables for occurrence, completeness, accuracy, and classification.
  • Assist FP&A with cash flow forecasting and budgeting.
  • Evaluate personnel performance and recommend training and corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement technology solutions to improve reporting processes.
Qualifications
  • Experience in the real estate and/or alternative investment industry preferred.
  • 6+ years of financial reporting and auditing experience, including at least 3+ years of public accounting.
  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA required.
  • Strong drive to learn, excel individually and as a team.
  • Demonstrated leadership through team building, mentoring and motivating staff.
