As a fully licensed financial consultant, you will develop and deliver T. Rowe Price backed retirement strategies and insights that enhance the financial well-being of our participants. A financial consultant is a valuable part of a sales team dedicated to high value sales and retention of assets that contribute to our enterprise net new flows. Whileworking within our sales team, you will be responsible for growth outcomes focused on retention, acquisition of new assets, and asset consolidation through ongoing consultative conversations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive consultations to participants over the phone as part of dedicated sales team model for high value retirement plan participants.
  • Demonstrate a consultative approach in positioning products and services to participants pertaining to retirement planning during life changing events such as separation of service from an employer, retirement, and investment planning.
  • Obtain knowledge of the participant's financial portfolio objectives, asset composition and past historical information and help them navigate to appropriate next steps.
  • Retain assets through education and guidance of available plan-specific and general distribution options.
  • Acquire new assets for the firm through on-going consultation follow-up conversations.
  • Initiate proactive/follow-up phone calls on behalf of the participant to current or prior provider to coordinate next steps and implement client decisions.
  • Diligently manage a pipeline of opportunities to nurture client/participant relationships. Serve as a single point of contact and assist clients through transitions. Use a consistent follow-up process to move sales opportunities forward. Organizecalendar and leads box effectively and efficiently to execute on results.
  • Deliver on defined retention andsales targets and other role-based responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain proficient knowledge of T. Rowe Price funds, products, and services.
  • Thrive in fast-paced work environment that can be dynamic and require flexibility.
  • Handle client inquiries and resolve problems within scope of knowledge to ensure all transactions and administrative processes are accomplished efficiently. Partner with back-office and shared services teams to research and resolve client inquiries.
  • Participate in training sessions, staff meetings, and share knowledge with teammates.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 2+ years of total relevant work experience with inbound and/or phone-based sales
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66

Preferred:

  • 3+ years of related experience with inbound and/or phone-based sales
  • Systems knowledge pertaining to Microsoft Suite, Salesforce and/or Synergy
  • Proficient understanding of Retirement Investment Products and qualified retirement plans
  • Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) (obtained within 180 days of hire)
  • Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP)

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are required and will be supported for this role

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home, after the successful completion of a training program.
