About the role.

We are currently seeking a Tractor Operator for the harvest season at our Farm of the Future location in Florenceville, New Brunswick. In this temporary seasonal position, you will operate and maintain various types of farm equipment and machinery.

This is a physically demanding role that involves operating power tools, heavy lifting, sitting, standing, walking, climbing, and working around farm machinery. Availability to work evenings and weekends during the busy harvest season is required.

What you'll be doing.

  • Operate and maintain equipment such as tractors, combines, and irrigation systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance to help ensure equipment functions properly.
  • Use power tools and hand tools to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Work evenings and weekends as required during the busy harvest season.

What you'll need to be successful.

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
  • Mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment; experience with farm machinery or potato farming is considered an asset.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to work effectively with supervisors and other employees.
  • Team-oriented approach with excellent attendance.
  • Highly motivated and observant, with strong initiative and a positive attitude.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change as it occurs.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong safety record and a demonstrated safety-first approach.

Compensation Package:Starting at $25.13CAD hourly.
