Job description

  • Event set-up and changeover to include moving, arranging, assembly and disassembly, setting and removal of items needed.
  • Equestrians event set up and changeover may include assembly and disassembly of animal penning.
  • General cleaning and upkeep of buildings, including buffing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing windows; cleaning toilets, urinals, mirrors, walls, arena seats, and trash cans.
  • Oversee and participate in all aspects of the conversion process for events. Duties may include setting-up and tearing down flooring, portable chairs, operable walls, barricades, staging, tables, other furnishings and equipment.
  • Oversee personnel and perform various duties to ensure that the day-to-day operations of the facility are met. These include but are not limited to loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash to proper disposal areas.
  • Must have the ability to read and understand layouts, and measure the floor accurately.
  • Assist in training new hires or subcontracted services in the proper use of equipment.
  • Must enforce all policies and procedures of the facility.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in execution of life safety or damage concers or loss of property promptly to supervisor or manager.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, holidays as needed.
  • Review daily assignments and special projects.
  • Inspect completed work to determine that it meets the acceptable requirements.
  • Issue supplies and equipment. Compile a list to order all necessary inventories of equipment and supplies.
  • Must have the knowledge or be able to operate extractor machine.
  • Must be able to work on elevated areas including ladders, scaffolding, and scissor lifts.
  • Assist other Operations Department divisions to expedite set-up and teardown events whenever possible.
  • Must be able to perform other duties assigned.
