  • Advise manufacturing, engineering, and purchasing departments using specialized knowledge of manufacturing methods and materials
  • Optimize safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people outcomes
  • Analyze time and motion, methods, estimating, process engineering, and plant layout to ensure balanced methods and capacity
  • Oversee factory manufacturing processes for cost, time, ergonomic, quality, and quantity factors
  • Approve changes, prepare capital justifications, and direct development of manufacturing processes, systems, equipment, and materials
  • Oversee manufacturing changes, operating work instructions, and operator training
  • Develop budgets and justifications for new machines and equipment; select, order, and oversee installation
  • Project year-over-year spending and prioritize capital projects
  • Train and direct subordinates on equipment selection, installation, and project budget management
  • Assist with Annual Operations Plan planning
  • Track project requisitions and purchase orders against allotted budgets
  • Oversee routing changes, new manufacturing bills of materials, and new-product costing; communicate impacts to operations and finance
  • Manage the scope change process

Requirements

  • Lean Manufacturing experience preferred, with Green Belt or Black Belt training or certification
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sufficient experience/knowledge with SAP ERP and APRISO MES in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to independently support, troubleshoot, and optimize system-related material and inventory processes without extensive training
  • Proven knowledge of material flow engineering, including warehouse operations, internal logistics, point-of-use replenishment, material handling optimization, slotting strategy, and end-to-end flow design from receiving through shipping
  • Experience improving inventory accuracy, inventory control, and system transaction governance by aligning physical material movement with ERP/MES processes, master data, and operational standards
