Job description

The Studio Fitness Market Lead is a hybrid, field-based leadership role responsible for driving the success of Studio Fitness across an assigned market of 3–4 clubs in RI and MA. This position provides localized leadership through instructor recruiting, staffing, scheduling, coaching, operational support, and program execution while partnering closely with club and regional leadership to deliver a consistent, best-in-class member experience.

As a subject matter expert and ambassador for Studio Fitness, the Market Lead serves as both a leader and active instructor/trainer, maintaining a strong presence in the clubs they support. This role plays a critical part in building high-performing instructor teams, fostering member engagement, ensuring operational excellence, and executing the strategic vision established by the Vice President of Studio Fitness & Programming. This role spends the majority of its time working directly within clubs, coaching instructors, supporting club leadership, teaching classes, and ensuring Studio Fitness standards are consistently executed


What you’ll do:

Build & Develop a Best-in-Class Instructor Team

As the Studio Fitness Regional Manager, you'll cultivate a high-performing instructor community that delivers exceptional member experiences while developing the next generation of fitness leaders.

Talent Acquisition & Development

  • Recruit, audition, interview, hire, and onboard exceptional Studio Fitness talent.
  • Build and maintain an active instructor pipeline to support current and future club growth.
  • Identify emerging talent and develop future mentors, trainers, and presenters within the organization.

Instructor Growth & Excellence

  • Coach, mentor, and inspire instructors through meaningful feedback, career development, and performance coaching.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, recognition, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate regional workshops, continuing education, and instructor development opportunities.
  • Conduct class observations and quality audits that elevate coaching, consistency, and the overall member experience.

Club Partnership

  • Partner with General Managers and Area Directors to identify opportunities, solve challenges, and continually raise the standard of programming and execution.
  • Serve as the Studio Fitness expert and trusted partner for your region, supporting both instructors and club leadership.

Operational Leadership & Business Excellence

You'll be the driving force behind the daily success of Studio Fitness in your region, ensuring operational excellence, consistent execution, and an exceptional member experience.

  • Build and optimize instructor schedules that support business needs and member demand.
  • Coordinate instructor substitutions to ensure every class is staffed with qualified instructors and delivered to company standards.
  • Execute schedule updates and instructor assignments.  
  • Communicate instructor additions, departures, and staffing updates with clubs, HR, Payroll, and key business partners.

Operations & Administration

  • Partner with HR and Payroll to ensure a seamless hiring, onboarding, and payroll experience.
  • Maintain accurate instructor records, schedules, payroll information, and operational data.
  • Manage Studio Fitness payroll budgets while supporting fiscal responsibility.
  • Maintain timely communication with instructors through NetGym and other company communication platforms.

Member Experience & Operational Excellence

  • Champion a consistent, best-in-class Studio Fitness experience across every club.
  • Partner with club leadership to improve attendance, member engagement, and retention.
  • Address member concerns with professionalism and a solutions-first mindset.
