Embroidery Machine Operator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and detail-oriented Embroidery Machine Operator to join our production team. The Embroidery Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating commercial embroidery equipment, preparing materials, monitoring production, troubleshooting machine issues, and ensuring finished products meet customer specifications and our quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have previous embroidery production experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple work orders in a fast-paced production environment. This position requires a combination of technical ability, organization, and an eye for quality and design.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Review and understand work orders, artwork, project specifications, and customer requirements before beginning production.
  • Set up and operate commercial embroidery machines for various embroidery projects.
  • Select the appropriate thread colors, needles, hoops, backing, and other materials for each job.
  • Properly hoop and position garments and other products to ensure accurate embroidery placement.
  • Load embroidery designs and verify correct design, size, orientation, and thread sequence before production.
  • Monitor embroidery machines throughout the production process to ensure consistent quality.
  • Identify and troubleshoot common machine issues, including thread breaks, tension problems, needle issues, and alignment concerns.
  • Inspect completed embroidery for proper placement, stitching, colors, and overall quality.
  • Perform routine machine cleaning, maintenance, and basic adjustments to keep equipment operating efficiently.
  • Monitor embroidery supplies and inventory and report materials that need to be reordered.
  • Provide suggestions regarding embroidery design, placement, thread selection, and production methods when appropriate.
  • Keep track of work orders, production quantities, completed jobs, and other required production records.
