PURPOSE STATEMENT

Game One is the premier provider of apparel, gear, and equipment unifying teams and fans in schools, clubs and organizations.


JOB SUMMARY

Work in the Screen-printing, Embroidery, Heat Press Decal and Prepress departments to complete custom printed garment orders and ready them for shipping. Become cross-trained in all areas of these processes and be proficient in two or more Operative Positions.


Status/hours; Full-Time Nights; Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-3:30am; Overtime when required.


JOB FUNCTIONS

  • May operate at least two of the following areas: Automatic or manual printing machine, Embroidery Machine, Heat Press Decal and Pre Press equipment. Including set up and tear down to produce garments per order specifications.
  • Must be able to maintain 125% proficiency in original Operator position.
  • Trains and mentors Teammates.
  • Verify that the count, garment types, print/embroidery/press location and artwork are correct prior to production.
  • Document all necessary information pertaining to order in the ERP system, such as order printed, and colors used.
  • Perform job consistently within established performance standards.
  • Monitor machines for needed maintenance and report issues to Supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment; performs routine maintenance.
  • Is punctual, observes prescribed work break/meal periods and has an acceptable overall attendance record.
  • Other duties as assigned or dictated by the needs of the business.
  • Utilizes personal protective equipment as required for personal safety.
  • Become proficient and trained in all aspects of Production.
  • Operators operating automatics in screen print ensure that un-loaders and PQCs are doing their assigned task. Examples: occasionally check a shirt before un-loader unloads garments or holding a shirt back to verify folder is counting garments.
  • Overall responsible for quality and quantity of garments produced.
  • Communicating with team members any pertinent information.
  • Provide sign off approval for operators after performing quality inspections of samples and 1st piece checks
  • Assist Production Coordinator in locating rush orders and old orders to ensure TATs are met
  • Partner with Production Coordinator and/or Production Manager to report any discrepancies with art, garments or order entry errors.
  • Utilize experience and knowledge to support operators on production floor with questions related to overall operations and quality.
  • Assist Production Coordinator/Manager with reporting and troubleshooting mechanical issues with Maintenance Department or external vendors as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three monthsโ€™ related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Must have experience as a Operator or Sr Operator
  • Strong attention to detail; mechanically inclination helpful.
  • Must be able to identify deviations of color, design, and order specifications.
  • Strong design skills with good eye for color layout.
