Join Our Team as a Security Guard at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Asheville Downtown!

At Parks Hospitality Group, we are looking for an approachable and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. In this highly visible role, you will be the guardian of our hotel’s peaceful environment—acting as a welcoming presence for arriving guests, assisting travelers late at night, and resolving situations with professional hospitality. What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct regular foot patrols of hotel interior and exterior, identifying potential safety or security risks.
  • Investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalism, or accidents within hotel premises.
  • Assist with valet parking and luggage handling, providing a welcoming and secure environment for guests.
  • Respond to emergency situations like fires or hazards, remaining calm and professional.
  • Monitor building security through cameras and other surveillance equipment.
  • Respond to safety threats promptly, assisting management with security-related issues.
  • Complete incident reports related to security matters and follow up on actions taken.
  • Communicate effectively with management, guests, and team members, ensuring safety and compliance with hotel policies.
  • Perform security checks in public areas, ensuring all areas are secure.
  • Stay informed on hotel activities, services, and emergency procedures to address issues proactively.

What You’ll Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a security or similar role.
  • Valid driver’s license to assist with Valet. 
  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred (or required upon hire).
  • Ability to handle situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving, mediation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during emergency situations.
  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods while patrolling the hotel.
  • Physical ability to lift at least 25 pounds, bend, kneel, and maintain alertness in all situations.
  • Good hearing and attention to sounds, with the ability to observe and recognize potential threats.
