Summary

The Project Manager – CE&I is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of construction engineering and inspection projects throughout Louisiana. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and safety requirements. The Project Manager will lead inspection staff, manage schedules and budgets, and uphold the firm’s commitment to quality and client service.

Roles & Responsibilities

· Manage CE&I projects from notice to proceed through final acceptance and closeout

· Serve as the primary liaison with clients, contractors, and agencies such as LADOTD and local municipalities

· Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, staffing plans, and budgets

· Oversee construction inspection activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and applicable regulations

· Review and approve pay applications, change orders, daily reports, and project documentation

· Coordinate with internal engineering, surveying, and administrative teams to support project delivery

· Monitor project progress and proactively address schedule, budget, or performance issues

· Ensure compliance with firm quality control procedures and safety standards

· Mentor and supervise inspectors and junior staff, including performance feedback and development

· Assist with proposal development, scope definition, and client presentations as needed

Job Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

· Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in construction engineering and inspection or related civil infrastructure projects

· Experience managing CE&I projects in Louisiana, including familiarity with LADOTD standards and procedures

· Strong knowledge of construction practices, plans, specifications, and contract administration

· Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills

· Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

· Valid Louisiana driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites

Work Environment

· Combination of field and office work environments. Regular exposure to all types of weather conditions on field assignments

· Ability to sit and work at computer workstations for extended periods

· Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
