The Revenue Cycle Educator will be responsible for revenue cycle training and retraining of staff from needs assessment/process improvement to design and delivery, independently applying knowledge of workflows and current technology. Develop, design, administer and manage the revenue cycle management new hire training programs, special projects and compliance training. Educator will work closely with all locations and roles to continually re-educate based on quality assurance findings.
QUALIFICATIONS

Required: High School diploma or GED
Experience:

Supervisory/lead role in revenue cycle operations or
Can be substituted with a minimum of 3 years' experience in healthcare revenue cycle
Preferred: Patient Access, Patient Accounting, Revenue Integrity, Utilization Review, Coding experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Effective communication skills to receive and convey information, ideas and messages in a way that is powerful and appropriate to education.
Demonstrate the ability to create and deliver a presentation that effectively communicates information and ideas.
Ability to work independently and possess strong analytical skills.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential
Creates ongoing curriculum development and competency assessments for training and education in various roles within the revenue cycle.
Utilizes multiple methods of learning to secure performance improvements through focused training, creation of e-learning (recorded video sessions), and strategic initiatives throughout the System in an expedited and efficient manner.
Collects and manages individual course logistics, scheduling, class enrollments, course completions, and evaluations, grading classes within the system.
Provides leadership with regular updates, summaries of key performance indicators of staff.
Collaborate with various leaders to ensure quality reviews, mandatory learnings, and work queues are completed on an on-going basis within the first 90 days. May participate with leaders to provide information to support review period.
Acts as a liaison to all supporting departments to ensure consistency of system usage, workflows, and training materials.
Assists department managers to identify Super Users; train and work with Super Users when training new workflows and have them assist in identifying process or workflow issues.
Engages in coaching, feedback, and performance improvement strategies for underperforming staff. Ensure staff have access to necessary policies, procedures, training and other tools and resources necessary to complete their responsibilities.
Consults with internal stakeholders to conduct needs assessments, evaluate, and make recommendations for training and development solutions, partners with departments regarding training needs, delivery, and scheduling requirements.
Identify and forecast training trends to identify future curriculum development and programmatic improvements.
Serves as a resource for staff/vendors, providing support and education.
Assesses individual and group staff education needs on an annual basis and follows through to keep staff current on system applications and functionality.
Participates early and continually with new project implementation, assuring educational material is developed and disseminated.
Identifies quality measurements to assess process changes and identify areas for improvement and educational needs.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
Performs other duties as assigned.
