About Our Family
Located in Burlingame, we are a warm, active family with two school-aged children (ages 7 and 9) and a young, energetic golden retriever, who all thrive on a structured daily rhythm. One parent splits their time working part-time and volunteering at the kids' school, while the other works full-time outside the home. Our home runs on daily routines-we value consistency, spending quality time together outdoors, creating a safe space for our kids to play and read, and fostering their independence.
Our children are energetic, curious, and full of fun questions that keep us on our toes. We love to stay active and are avid readers. Daily homework and several after-school activities throughout the year, including club soccer, volleyball, flag football, baseball, and swimming, keep our family always on the go.
With our busy schedules, we're eager to lighten the mental load with the support of a highly proactive house manager: starting with meal prep, household organization, and helping our kids settle into homework and after-school routines.
We are seeking long-term, consistent, honest, and proactive support to create and maintain meaningful systems in our home that lighten the load of the household tasks, so that we can have a seamless home life to balance out the chaos of our busy lifestyle.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
Our ideal fit is someone who brings calm, grounded energy to balance the liveliness of our household-someone who is patient, resourceful, and naturally organized. You have experience in and feel passionate about cooking/meal planning and creating and maintaining household systems that keep the home running smoothly. You welcome the dynamic energy of our 1 year old golden retriever and curious kids, and genuinely enjoy spending time with them and creating a space that supports fostering their independence.
We are seeking a trustworthy, flexible, and proactive house manager who is comfortable taking cues from the family's preferences and routines in order to confidently take ownership of new systems and responsibilities. Specifically, we'd love a take-initiative powerhouse to support us with meal prep (simple, fresh and batch cooking), light after-school child care support, and managing overall household systems and tasks.
Coachable and purpose-driven, you have a big heart, understand the importance of family, and bring warmth, high emotional intelligence, and exceptional professionalism to your work environment. You have excellent time-management skills and naturally anticipate needs, helping create an environment where the family feels genuinely supported, rather than needing to manage or delegate details or tasks. You love working with families and are able to step in during busy times and schedule shifts, and feel comfortable amidst a private family home environment.
