Seasonal Assistant District Manager (ADM)

Responsible for helping the business from the ground up, providing real business leadership development and experience and gaining a deep understanding of critical business success components such as recruitment/retention strategies, marketing, employee development, operations, training, profitability, and team leadership. Manages dayโ€‘toโ€‘day activities of seasonal team members across approximately twenty or more stores and/or kiosk locations. Accesses and regularly handles sensitive, highly confidential information, and deals with diverse matters requiring a working knowledge of the business.

Job Overview

This is a fullโ€‘time seasonal role with a start date of September 22, 2025, and an anticipated end date of April 25, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for multiโ€‘unit retail locations in the assigned district and works with the District Manager to strategically manage district operations to maximize efficiency, increase revenue, and profitability.
  • Leads recruiting efforts, interviews seasonal employees, and drives the tax education process and team transition to hire.
  • Monitors employee performance to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and procedures, correcting errors or problems, while partnering with HR on training, development, complaints, and employee relations issues.
  • Ensures all assigned locations meet company standardsโ€”including office setโ€‘up, buildโ€‘outs and breakdowns, technology setโ€‘up, telecommunications, office supplies, and facilities maintenanceโ€”and maintains relationships with property managers and landlords, working with the District Manager on corrective actions.
  • Continuously builds the business by retaining existing clients, attracting new clients, and creating positive brand awareness.
  • Resolves client complaints or answers client questions regarding policies and procedures.
  • Provides employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or resolving escalated complaints or disputes.
  • Monitors GL & P&L performance and holds/voids/rejects discount reports and productivity reports for the assigned store group. Also responsible for meeting all assigned district goals including revenue, cash control, and tax return count in the assigned area.
Required Skills
  • Associate degree or equivalent related business experience. Preferred coursework in management or tax preparation and/or accounting.
  • Two years of previous management or supervisory experience with a passion for leading and inspiring others.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit that inspires outโ€‘ofโ€‘theโ€‘box thinking to impact business results.
  • Tax knowledge preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and clientโ€‘service skills.
  • Must possess reliable transportation, insurance, and a driver's license in good standing.
  • Knowledge of accounting or tax preparation software preferred.
  • Ability to sustain energy and remain available during the season, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fastโ€‘paced working environment.
