Job Description: Bartender at Craft Distillery and Brewery

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Bartender to join our team at a craft distillery and brewery.  As a Bartender, you will play a pivotal role in creating an engaging environment, serving high-quality craft cocktails, and delivering an excellent guest experience that showcases our premium house-made spirits, beers, and mixers.  NO Late Nights!  Bar is typically closed by 10pm weekends, 9pm weeknights.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve craft cocktails, utilizing our premium house-made spirits, beers, and mixers, while following recipes and ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with guests in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, answering questions about our products, and making recommendations based on their preferences.
  • Create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere by maintaining a clean and organized bar area, setting up attractive displays, and ensuring the comfort of guests.
  • Collaborate with the distillery and brewery team to stay up-to-date on the latest offerings, including seasonal releases and limited editions, and effectively communicate this information to guests.
  • Continuously expand your knowledge of our craft spirits, beers, and mixers, attending training sessions and tastings to enhance your expertise and confidently educate guests.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, following proper procedures and maintaining a balanced cash drawer throughout your shift.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring a clean and hygienic work environment.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, restocking supplies as needed, and notifying management of any shortages or equipment malfunctions.
  • Contribute to a positive team dynamic by collaborating with colleagues, sharing insights and ideas, and actively participating in staff meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a bartender in a craft distillery, brewery, or upscale cocktail bar setting is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and passion for craft cocktails, spirits, and beers, with the ability to create unique and innovative drink recipes.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to create a warm and welcoming environment for guests.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with guests and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
  • Understanding of proper bartending techniques, including accurate measurement, mixing, and garnishing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines, with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
