Job Summary:
Our Dishwashers play an essential role in keeping our culinary operation running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This hands-on position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, kitchen equipment, and assigned work areas while ensuring the Culinary and Food & Beverage teams have the supplies they need throughout service.
The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This position requires strong attention to cleanliness and food safety, along with a team-first attitude and willingness to assist throughout the kitchen as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, cookware, and other kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing equipment and approved manual washing procedures.
  • Inspect cleaned items to ensure they are properly sanitized and free of food residue before returning them to service.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary dishwashing area throughout the shift.
  • Properly sort, organize, and return clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and equipment to designated storage and service areas.
  • Ensure Culinary and Food & Beverage team members have adequate clean dishes, cookware, and utensils available throughout service.
  • Clean and sanitize dishwashing equipment, sinks, work surfaces, storage areas, floors, and other assigned kitchen areas according to established procedures.
  • Remove trash, recycling, and food waste and dispose of materials according to hotel procedures.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning products, chemicals, sanitizers, and commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Monitor dishwashing and cleaning supplies and notify Culinary leadership when products need to be replenished.
  • Assist with receiving deliveries, organizing supplies, and maintaining kitchen storage areas as needed.
  • Assist the Culinary team with basic food preparation or other kitchen support responsibilities when assigned and appropriately trained.
  • Assist with maintaining clean and organized kitchen workstations and back-of-house areas.
  • Follow all hotel policies, health department requirements, food safety procedures, sanitation standards, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with Culinary and Food & Beverage team members to support efficient kitchen and restaurant operations.
  • Complete opening, ongoing, and closing cleaning responsibilities and assigned checklists.
  • Participate in department meetings, training, and ongoing initiatives related to sanitation, food safety, workplace safety, and hotel standards.

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Previous dishwasher, stewarding, restaurant, or commercial kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
