Join Our AFC Urgent Care Team as a Medical Assistant!

We're looking for friendly, skilled, and patient-focused Medical Assistants who are passionate about delivering exceptional care. If you thrive in a dynamic setting and love being a key part of a clinical team, you'll feel right at home with us.
About the RoleAs a Medical Assistant in our urgent care center, you'll play a vital role in supporting patients through every step of their visit. This position blends hands-on clinical work, patient interaction, and teamwork in a setting where no two days feel the same.
What You'll Do
  • Welcome patients, room them efficiently, and gather accurate medical histories and vital signs
  • Assist providers with exams, procedures, wound care, testing, and treatments
  • Perform CLIA-waived lab tests, collect and prepare specimens, and maintain lab quality control
  • Administer medications, injections, and vaccines under provider supervision
  • Conduct EKGs, point-of-care testing, and other diagnostic support tasks
  • Draw blood for labs as ordered
  • Keep documentation complete, accurate, and timely
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patient care
  • Support smooth patient flow in a high-volume environment
  • Perform drug screens and provide patient education and follow-up instructions
  • Contribute as a collaborative, dependable member of the clinical team
  • Follow all infection control, safety, and compliance standards

What You Bring
  • Medical Assistant certification or relevant clinical training
  • Experience in urgent care, emergency, or other fast-paced settings (preferred)
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and calm under pressure
  • Excellent communication and a compassionate, patient-focused approach
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
