Santa Incorporated is seeking a master-level Heavy Equipment & Fleet Diesel Technician to serve as the chief mechanical authority at our Redmond operations. As a leading General Contractor, our field success is entirely dependent on the uptime, safety, and performance of our extensive heavy machinery and transport assets.


This position is designed for an autonomous, solution-oriented diagnostic expert who refuses to settle for quick fixes. You will manage complex mechanical overhauls, advanced system diagnostics, and precision preventive maintenance. What You Will Be Doing

You will hold total responsibility for the mechanical integrity, safety metrics, and operational lifespan of our commercial fleet and heavy yellow iron:


  • Advanced Diagnostics & Overhauls: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and execute major mechanical repairs on complex diesel engines, commercial transport trucks, heavy civil equipment, and trailers.
  • System Component Repair: Perform surgical teardowns and rebuilds on air brake systems, complex hydraulic arrays, structural steering components, wheel bearings, and heavy-duty transmissions/differentials.
  • Intricate Electrical & Control Work: Isolate and resolve complex electrical faults, onboard HVAC failures, and advanced Tier 4 emissions/aftertreatment system issues.
  • Proactive Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled, meticulous maintenance tracking and road-test assets under real-world load conditions to ensure perfect operational functionality.
  • Precision Metalworking & Tooling: Safely operate a wide spectrum of master-level hand tools, high-voltage power tools, advanced electronic diagnostic software, and structural welding/fabrication equipment.
  • Logistics & Administration: Maintain rigorous digital repair logs, coordinate diagnostic reports with executive management, and assist in strategic parts inventory controls.
  • Safety Stewardship: Enforce absolute compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols, actively contributing to structural safety meetings and risk mitigation.


What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)

  • Technical Background: Proven professional experience in heavy-duty diesel engine repair, complex system troubleshooting, and fleet maintenance.
  • Diagnostic Command: Advanced capability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and complex electrical systems independently.
  • Specialized System Fluency: Direct, hands-on experience troubleshooting industrial hydraulic systems, commercial HVAC, and Tier 4 emissions/aftertreatment control setups.
  • Physical Capability: High physical stamina with the ability to work comfortably in diverse Pacific Northwest weather conditions and lift up to 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Schedule Adaptability: Absolute willingness to operate with flexible hours and varying start times, including rotating weekend shifts, to maintain total fleet readiness.
