Requirements for the Activities and Lifestyle Engagement Assistant :
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Associate's degree preferred from an accredited college or technical school or a minimum of one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in programming with older adults in a health care environment preferred.
  • Experience in memory care (dementia or Alzheimer's).
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated while performing job duties.
  • Knowledge, training and interests in arts, crafts, music, and recreational activities strongly preferred.
  • Be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with residents, resident families, and team members.
