Job description

Are you up for the opportunity of a lifetime? If so, we are seeking anย Line Lead who leads specific production line including set up and operating production machines in an efficient and timely manner. Advising and organizing employees ensuring orders are completed accurately and timely.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Quickly and efficiently ensure machine is stocked with correct components to ensure production levels

are maintained.

  • Machine set-up; diagnose problems and adjust accordingly.
  • Assist Production Lead and Supervisor in training and provide feedback on operator performance. Provide guidance, assistance, support, mentorship, and clarity to employees working on their specific line.
  • Quickly and efficiently feed and pack correct components and assemblies into and out of machine.
  • Will work as part of an assembly line to ensure completion of the process, in which case must communicate with other team members on the production line to ensure speed and accuracy to meet established metrics.
  • Inform supervisors of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem. Identify friction points in the production plan and provide the Team Leader with a course of action to assist in the production of all orders.
  • Provide maintenance requests to Team Leaders, coordinate with, and support the maintenance team, and confirm preventative maintenance is done on equipment.
  • Maintain an efficient and orderly production room while following all company and facility safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Immediately report any potentially hazardous situations or unsafe behaviors.
  • Accurately record daily production with limited use of company ERP system.
  • Support branch metrics to drive customer thrill.
  • Fulfill the employee portion of the Berlin Values.
  • Other tasks as required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prefer 1-3 years' experience operating machinery.
  • Prior warehouse or manufacturing experience required.
  • Ability to operate stand-up forklifts highly recommended.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide coaching and feedback to other employees.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to be proactive in solving problems with high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and ability to learn.
  • Has a positive attitude and contributes to a positive team culture.
  • Self-motivated; reliable, with strong initiative and results orientation.

Working Environment and Physical Requirements:

Must be able to frequently lift/move boxes weighing up to 20lbs and occasionally lift/ move boxes and/or pallets up to 45lbs through warehouse. Displays manual dexterity and ability to stand for extended periods of time.
