 Gossner Foods is seeking a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented Production Line Lead to join our Milk Plant Production Team.The Line Lead plays an important role in the day-to-day operation of the production line by supporting employees, monitoring equipment performance, maintaining product quality, and helping ensure production goals are achieved safely and efficiently.The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who communicates effectively, takes initiative, and promotes teamwork, accountability, food safety, and continuous improvement. This position will also assist with employee training and development while helping maintain consistent production standards throughout the shift.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead, coordinate, and support production line employees throughout the assigned shift.Help ensure production schedules, quality expectations, and operational goals are achieved.Monitor production equipment and line performance to maintain safe and efficient operations.Ensure employees follow established GMP, food safety, sanitation, quality, and workplace safety procedures.Identify, troubleshoot, and communicate equipment or production issues to minimize downtime.Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Production Leadership when additional support is needed.Verify production paperwork, records, and required documentation for accuracy and completeness.Assist with training new and existing employees on equipment operation, procedures, safety requirements, and job expectations.Monitor employee training progress and provide coaching, direction, and feedback as needed.Support supervisors with employee performance evaluations and development.Maintain proper communication during shift changes and communicate production concerns, downtime, quality issues, and other important information.Promote teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving.Maintain a clean, organized, and professional production environment.Perform additional duties as assigned by Production Leadership.QualificationsPrevious Tetra Pak filling machine experience is required.Previous leadership, Lead Operator, or supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.Dairy, food manufacturing, or beverage production experience is strongly preferred.Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot production equipment.Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.Ability to lead employees professionally and communicate expectations clearly.Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.Ability to prioritize responsibilities and make effective decisions in a fast-paced production environment.Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team-oriented environment.High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.Must be at least 18 years of age.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.What We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone who takes ownership of their production area, leads by example, and is committed to maintaining high standards for safety, quality, efficiency, and teamwork.
