Job Title: Assistant Store Manager

Position Summary:

The primary function of an Assistant Store Manager is to support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and to develop the skills necessary to become an effective Store Manager. The Assistant Store Manager helps ensure all store activities align with company goals, customer service expectations, and operational standards.

General Purpose:

To assist the Store Manager in all aspects of the store’s daily operations, learning the management skills and responsibilities required for promotion to a Store Manager position.

Position Responsibilities:

  •  Perform all store managerial duties in the absence of the Store Manager.
  •  Communicate and enforce customer service standards and expectations to all store personnel.
  •  Take responsibility for opening and closing the store, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
  •  Assist in the handling of the accounting aspects of daily operations, including cash management and balancing.
  •  Support the Store Manager in hiring, training, and disciplining store employees as needed.
  •  Assist in the ordering of merchandise and managing inventory control to ensure the store is adequately stocked.
  •  Ensure store cleanliness standards are met and maintained throughout the day.
  •  Provide leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and with high standards.
  •  Help with the development of store promotions and merchandising strategies.
  •  Perform other duties as assigned by upper management.
