Job description

E-logic is seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to support a critical Department of the Navy (DON) task order within the Deputy Under Secretary of the Navy (Management) - Information Technology Division - DUSN (M) ITD. You will be responsible for the maintenance, performance tuning, and security of both legacy and emerging production/development databases, ensuring high availability and strict compliance with federal information assurance standards. The locations will be within the National Capital Region (NCR).


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide DBA and maintenance support for Oracle and Microsoft SQL database management systems and applications.
  • Perform proactive performance tuning, routine maintenance, scheduled backups, archiving, and system upgrades.
  • Conduct patch testing and validation in development environments prior to production rollout.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed library documentation of system and database configurations.
  • Support backend database development and collaborate with developers on full-stack initiatives.
  • Assist in database activities required to achieve and maintain Authorizations to Operate (ATOs) under the Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience administering Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases.
  • Must hold relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert).
  • Proficient in SQL, T-SQL, TOAD, and Visual Studio.
